Electric motor scrap

Electric motors are used to power appliances and machines. The yield from old electric motors scrap is determined based on the size of the electric motor, and the price is ultimately based on copper content and the copper-to-iron ratio. Small electric motors (< 700kg) containing proportionally more copper and less iron than large electric motors (> 700kg) offer a better yield. Starters, dynamos and alternators also fall into the electric motor category.
